The first with rebrowned octagonal barrel signed at the breech and sighted to 150 yards, signed scroll engraved action, varnished figured walnut butt, and chequered grip (minor defects to chequering, some pitting); the second with sighted barrel, engraved patent breech and tang, engraved back-action lock inscribed 'D. Egg', figured walnut half-stock, chequered grip (chequering worn), engraved brass mounts (engraving worn), white metal barrel-bolt escutcheons (damaged, one replaced) and escutcheon, horn fore-end cap, and later wooden ramrod, Birmingham proof marks
