A Pair Of 28-Bore French Flintlock Pistols

With swamped two-stage barrels each retaining traces of stamped and gilt decoration on the octagonal breech, silver fore-sights, signed engraved flat bevelled locks (one cock replaced, one cock-retaining screw incomplete), carved moulded figured walnut full stocks (one fore-end damaged), cast and chased brass mounts including side-plates engraved with rococo decoration, and pommels each in the form of an eagle's head, and original iron-capped wooden ramrods (some wear throughout)
