With rebrowned octagonal sighted barrels engraved with a band of stylised foliage at the rear of the breech, engraved tangs, signed flat bevelled locks each with engraved stepped tail, roller, and raised pan, figured walnut full stocks (minor defects), engraved iron mounts including trigger-guards each with pineapple finial, silver escutcheons each engraved with owner's initials 'J.C.' and '11 L.D' (11th Light Dragoons), and horn-tipped ramrods, each with worm (iron parts polished and with scattered surface pitting): in associated relined and refitted mahogany case with a powder-flask and a bullet mould, the lid with flush-fitting brass carrying handle, London proof marks
