With rebrowned slightly swamped twist octagonal barrel signed in full on the top flat, silver fore-sight, case-hardened patent breech with gold line and gold-lined touch-hole (relined), engraved tang decorated with flowers, foliage, and a martial trophy, signed lightly engraved flat bevelled detented lock with stepped tail, safety-catch, roller, semi-rainproof pan, and pierced cock (jaw-screw replaced), varnished figured walnut full stock, chequered butt, engraved iron mounts including spur trigger-guard with pineapple finial, original horn-tipped ramrod with worm, and much original finish: in relined and refitted mahogany case (probably associated) for a pair of pistols, with some accessories including a brass-mounted three-way copper flask, the lid with trade label for circa 1806-1816, the exterior with flush-fitting carrying handle and circular escutcheon, London proof marks
