A Pair Of 20-Bore German Flintlock Holster Pistols
Early 18th Century
With slightly belled barrels each with raised sighting flat, engraved brass spider fore-sight, and raised stepped moulding at the breech, rounded locks each with raised tail engraved with foliage, and cock and steel chiselled in relief with monster-heads and foliage (one mainspring replaced), moulded figured walnut full stocks (minor defects) carved in relief with scrollwork and foliage, iron mounts including pierced serpentine side-plates, vacant escutcheons each with coronet above, horn fore-end caps, and horn-tipped ramrods (iron parts with minor spots of surface rust)
