George, 9th Marquess of Huntly and 5th Earl of Aboyne, K.T. (1761-1853), Colonel of the Aberdeen Militia, married Catherine (died 1832), 2nd daughter of Sir Charles Cope, Bt., and had issue with three daughters.
It is recorded in George Engleheart's fee book that the Lord Aboyne was painted in 1808, and an extra large size portrait of the Marquis of Huntly was executed in 1812.
