William Gore (1779-1860), afterwards Ormsby Gore of Porkington, Salop, D.L., J.P., M.P. co. Leitrim 1806-07, Carnarvon 1830-31, N. Salop 1835-57, eldest son of William Gore of Woodford (see lot 111) and his wife, Frances Jane Gorges; married Mary Jane (see lots 103 and 114), only daughter and heiress of Owen Ormsby, of Willowbrook, co. Sligo (see lot 59) and of Porkington, Shropshire. He assumed by Royal Licence on his marriage in 1815 the additional surname and Arms of Ormsby.
