Manuscript on polished buff-coloured paper, 294ff. each with 15ll. of neat black Ottoman naskh, gold roundels between verses, sura headings in white naskh on gold panels with floral spandrels, typical gold and polychrome marginal medallions, text within gold margins, generally excellent condition, opening gold, pink and blue illuminated bifolio, slight damages to corners, final folio with colophon signed al-Sayeed al-Shaikh Mahmud Jamal al-Din b. al-Sayeed al-Shaikh Mustafa student of Salim Sirri and dated 1248, in contemporary brown morocco binding with gold stamped decoration and flap, scuffed and one board loose
