Lot Essay

The author was a renowned scholar of the Zaidiyah school for which he was given the title 'Pride of Zaidiyah'. This branch of Shi'ism recognises Zaid b. 'Ali, grandson of 'Ali. It political ambitions have been concentrated on the Caspian Sea and the Yemen, the probable source of this text. The author wrote a number of books on hstory, biography and theology.
