hand-coloured aquatints, the first dated May 1809 and engraved by I. Hill, the latter two engraved by D. Havell, [the second watermarked 'J.Whatman 1810'] from Twenty-Four Views in St. Helena, The Cape, India, Ceylon, The Red Sea, Abyssinia and Egypt published by William Miller, London, 1809, framed and glazed, one print only examined out of frame (browned, very occasional light spotting)

Henry Salt traveled extensively in India with Lord Valentia (see previous lot) between 1802 and 1804, journeying up the Ganges from Calcutta to Lucknow, travelling around southern India and visiting the rock-cut temples around Bombay. (3)
