The rounded rectangular twin-flap top with bead-and-reel edge above a panelled frieze, ring-turned and reeded spreading shaft with gadrooned stem, on a quadripartite base with reeded cabriole legs, brass caps and castors

Lot Essay

A closely related table, but with reeded edge to the top, was sold by direction of the Executors of the late Reginald Field Glazebrook and Daisy Isabel Glazebrook, Brynbella, Tremeirchion, St. Asaph, Clwyd, Wales, Sotheby's house sale, 1-2 June 1994, lot 54. Gabriel Piozzi (d. 1809) of Brynbella is recorded as having spent £2,000 with Gillows of London and Lancaster.
