Of baluster form and decorated with a pair of birds in a pine tree extensively incised, hammered and inlaid in gilt, shibuichi and shakudo, the surface of the tree trunk given a matte finish with engraved details to simulate bark and stippled with gilt and copper accents, the lichen on the bark stippled and gilded, and the needles patinated in gilt and copper, stamped on the foot jungin (pure silver)
