All of cylindrical shape, the larger one of huanghuali with a recessed base and wide mouth, the wood grain with dense whorling patterns; the second of huanghuali flaring at the base, the wood with a warm golden patina; one of zitan set on three low pad feet carved from the base, the wood of a rich dark purplish hue with very dense grain; the fourth of jichimu gently waisted and with a wide mouth, the wood with characteristic feathering enhanced by gold flecks
