AN ITALIAN FRUITWOOD AND PARCEL-GILT STOOL
Early 19th Century
The rectangular seat, with a lion's head to each corner and buttoned squab-cushion covered in green cotton, the apron decorated with bound laurel-bands on X-frame legs joined by a turned stretcher and terminating in lion paw feet, restorations, with recent paper label '14/142' and 'ALLFREE/MOSES CHATEAU DE MONTIGNY'
