Of typical form, the pencase completely plain save for the two ends, one hinged, both chased with floral panels, the inkwell similarly simply decorated with chased upper and lower borders, the underside with engraved flowering vine, tughra of Ammad III struck on both elements, makers mark of Qadiri on pencase and inside cover of inkwell, rubbed extremities
