The needlework mid-18th Century
The five petit and gros point needlework panels divided into a continuous upper and lower register containing an extensive landscape, each with scrolling floral vine-wrapped S-scroll and acanthus surround on a brown ground, the upper register depicting a bearded and enthroned man with an arm raised in benediction, a younger man holding a kid to left and a sleeping youth at right, the lower register with Isaac and Rebecca at the well to center, two youths leading camels at left and a woman and child before a city at right
