The front-sliding hood with dentilled broken swan's neck pediment flanking an arch, above a verre eglomisé panelled frieze inscribed 1791, the glazed arched door flanked by outset fluted Corinthian columns, the brass dial engraved with urns and foliate scrolls, with brass chapter ring with Arabic and Roman chapters, blued steel pierced hands, a subsidiary seconds and date dials, engraved Pickett/Marlbro, with pierced scrolling vine spandrels and beneath an arched and painted moon phase calender, the eight-day time-and-strike movement striking on the hour, with anchor escapement and four-posted backplate, the case with a checkerband and marquetry inlaid frieze above triple Gothic arched door flanked by cluster- columns with stop fluted angles, the base with stop-fluted angles on cabriole legs, the case and works associated
