A Regency mahogany and inlaid longcase clock, first quarter 19th century
The case with brass-capped swan-neck pediment to the hood and turned wood urn finials, with later black painted cornice panel, outset reeded front columns, the trunk with conch shell inlay within a diamond border above a three-quarter length trunk door with wavy top, ivory urn-shaped escutcheon, flanked by three-quarter length fluted pilasters resting on blocks with floral urn inlay, on plinth with chamfered angles and raised on a wavy apron, the 14in. square white dial with floral spandrels on green reserves, the centre of the dial with aperture for painted rolling moon, subsidiary calendar ring and signature Ja. Coats Wigan, later and black painted hands, with WILSON falseplate to the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement -- 94in. (239cm.) high

Lots will be available for collection following transfer to Cadogan Tate on the Friday following the sale and every weekday from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO CHARGE TO PURCHASERS WHO COLLECT THEIR LOTS WITHIN ONE WEEK OF THE SALE.
On the Thursday one week after the sale, a transfer and administration charge of £18.50 per lot will be payable and a storage charge of £3.20 per lot per day will then come into effect. These charges are payable to Cadogan Tate and are subject to VAT and an insurance surcharge.
