A 46-Bore American Flintlock 'Kentucky' Rifle
Signed S. Miller, early 19th Century
With octagonal sighted barrel rifled with seven grooves and signed in script on the breech, reading towards the tang, flat bevelled lock stamped 'Warranted' and with roller and engraved stepped tail, figured maple full stock (fore-end chipped and cracked), shaped brass mounts, engraved patch-box cover set within a pierced panel, raised cheek-piece inlaid with an American eagle in silver, silver escutcheon, crescent-shaped silver barrel-bolt escutcheons (one barrel-bolt and escutcheon missing), brass fore-end cap, and original spirally stained ramrod (iron parts with some light pitting)
