With rebrowned twist barrels, silver fore-sight, recessed patent breeches each with platinum line, platinum-lined maker's stamp, and platinum-lined touch-hole, engraved grooved tang, signed engraved bevelled locks each fitted with John Manton patent steel with roller and V-shaped rainproof pan with platinum bar, finely figured walnut half-stock (chipped), chequered grip, engraved reblued iron mounts, silver escutcheon engraved with crest and coronets, trigger-plate with pineapple finial, and brass-mounted ramrod, the toe of the butt stamped with royal inventory marking 'No. 36'
