With browned twist barrels signed 'Manton London' on the top rib and without under-rib, each breech with broad gold line and gold-lined touch-hole, silver fore-sight, finely engraved grooved case-hardened tang, signed locks each with moulded border, roller, blued steel-spring, and gold-lined semi-rainproof pan, finely figured walnut half-stock (minor bruising), flat-sided chequered butt, finely engraved iron mounts, trigger-guard with large pineapple finial, bulbous ramrod tail-pipe, silver escutcheon engraved with owner's monogram 'GL', short front trigger, original horn-tipped ramrod, and some original finish, London proof marks
