A Fine 30-Bore Russian Silver-Mounted Flintlock Pistol

With browned twist octagonal barrel inlaid with Cyrillic inscription 'Osip Sudenkov. 1787' in gold on the top flat of the breech and with silver fore-sight, the muzzle and the rear of the breech each engraved with a band of beadwork, gold-lined touch-hole, shaped tang cut with foliage on a gilt fish-roe ground and incorporating the back-sight, signed flat bevelled lock finely cut with flowers, scrolls, and a martial trophy, all on a gilt fish-roe ground, gold-lined pan, moulded figured walnut full stock carved in relief with a floral spray behind the barrel tang, cast and chased silver mounts decorated with flowers and foliage, pierced side-plate, oval pommel inlaid with silver wire and with floral silver cap, blued trigger and trigger-plate, engraved ivory fore-end cap, and later ivory-tipped ramrod
