Soldier, farmer, stage driver, laborer, prospector, law officer, detective.
Document signed ("V.W. Earp"), partly printed and accomplished in manuscript, Tombstone, Arizona, October 14, 1881. 1 page, octavo, with clean horizontal separated fold 1/2 in. below the top with minor paper loss and one small hole away from the text and signature. The vertical fold has a 1/4 in. split at the bottom, generally fine. Accompanying the lot is an original certification of authenticity signed by Charles Hamilton, and dated August 18, 1996. This document is signed by Earp as Deputy Marshal of Tombstone just nine days before the O.K. Corral.
