A LARGE DEHUA BLANC-DE-CHINE STANDING FIGURE OF GUANYIN
impressed commendation marks, late 17th century
The deity finely and crisply modelled with a serene expression looking slightly to the left and holding a handscroll in her outstretched right hand, her left clutching a fold of her robe, wearing loose multi-layered robes tied at the waist and stopping just above her bare feet, jewellery at her chest suspending long ribbons tied in a knot and hanging over her robes, further beaded jewellery over her lower robes, and a tiara revealing a figure of Amitabha at the centre worn over her chignon with two tresses falling over her shoulders, all under an ivory white glaze, wrist restored, robe edge chips
