A FLEMISH VERDURE TAPESTRY
Early 18th Century, consisting of two joined tapestries from the same set
Woven in wools and silks, depicting a forest landscape with dense trees to the right and a valley to the left, in the foreground two cockerels and a pond, the borders decorated with floral trails and fruit, within a red and brown outer strip, cut and joined to the right side
