The flute of plain wood with a mouth hole and seven finger holes, embellished with a series of finely turned rings between each hole and the next, the metal plug at one end of shakudo and gilt chiselled with a double wistaria mon; the flute of plain hardwood decorated in gold hiramaki-e with birds and grasses, a silvered metal chrysanthemoid fitting at one end, silver metal cord-fittings, silk cord and bag
