built by D. Preston, with bound masts, yards with stun's'l booms, standing and running rigging, anchors with bound wooden stocks, catheads, belaying rails and pins, gratings, bitts, stove pipe, bell canopy, hammock nettings and hammocks, upper and main deck guns in carriages with tackle, companionways, lockers, ship's boats in chocks, tiers and davits, and members of the crew in group dioramas in various parts of the ship. The hull, with sides unplanked to reveal construction and internal detailing and furnishings, and carved stern gallery ballustrading is finished in natural wood -- 36 x 53in. (89 x 134.5cm.)
