Lot Essay

Major Alexander Forbes, who was appointed a Lieutenant in the 79th Cameron Highlanders in August 1811, was wounded at Waterloo. Attaining the rank of Major in August 1835, he was placed on Half-Pay in May 1838 and died in Kingston, Ontario in 1851.
