Probably by Alfred André, Paris, circa 1860
The mermaid with baroque pearl body and breasts, enriched with band of table-cut diamonds and rubies and pendant pearls, the tail with enamelled fish scales, holding a diamond-set mirror in her left hand, with suspension chains and ring, the chains joined to a gemset and enamel link with pendant pearl
