A SILVER KIDDUSH BEAKER FOR THE FESTIVALS (Yom Tov)
Incised with V and 12, probably Austro-Hungarian, late 19th Century
The plain cylindrical body with two moulded raised bands, spreading upper rim, engraved around the mid section with a Hebrew inscription regarding a combination of Kiddush and Havdalah on Yom Tov eve and centered by finely engraved two rampant lions supporting a crowned armorial cartouche inscribed in Hebrew: "YaKNeHaZ", which is the initials of the Hebrew words giving the order of the blessings said in the Kiddush on festival eve, when it occurs at the conclusion of the shabbat
