The rectangular dished top with re-entrant corners, above a plain frieze and an apron centred by a shell on each long side, on cabriole legs headed by shells and trifid feet, one leg spliced at the top

Lot Essay

The reed-moulded and scrolled profile of the apron is almost identical to the apron profile of an Irish mid-Georgian bottle-stand, sold from The Samuel Messer Collection of English Furniture, Clocks and Barometers, in these Rooms, 5 December 1991, lot 108 (£7,700).
