A GEORGE IV BRASS-INLAID ROSEWOOD WRITING-BOX
Brass-banded overall and inlaid with scrolling foliage, the rectangular hinged top with a removable leather-lined surface and a mirror to the reverse, enclosing a fitted interior with six variously-sized open compartments, three lidded compartments (one cover later) and two ink-wells, the sides with sunken carrying-handles and one side with a drawer, the underside of the side drawer inscribed in pencil 'Ringwood'
