Circa 575 B.C.
The shallow bowl on a low foot, with a slightly flaring rim and an M-shaped handle (based on a metal prototype) projecting from the rim opposite a horizontal loop handle, the exterior painted in black with a frieze of three large outline-drawn birds filled with geometric ornament, the birds rendered upside-down, two palmettes and other geometric ornament in between, cross-hatched triangles above the foot and sets of wavy vertical lines below the rim, short lines on the rim and handle, and concentric bands on the interior
