A Ludwigsburg figure of a cook
Circa 1770, blue crowned interlaced C's mark
Modelled by Pierre François Lejeune in a puce-striped white cap, blue waistcoat over loose white shirt, white apron over iron-red breeches and yellow shoes, holding a hare in his left hand and an oval tray of vegetables with his right hand against his hip, standing before a column of rock on a shaped circular shallow flat grassy base edged with gilt scrolls (minute chip to tip of cap and to front edge of waistcoat, minute wear to gilding)
