the oxidised-brass frame with label inscribed ALBERT OTT KEMPTEN NO. 303, the telescope with rack and pinion focusing, dust cap, spider's-web adjusters, with detachable graduated bubble level, raised on twin supports, with vertical quadrant scale with vernier and magnifier, tangent-screw fine adjuster, the lower vertical frame incorporating a level and cross-bubble, the horizontal circle with finely divided silvered scale, twin verniers and magnifiers, incorporating reflector shades, tangent-screw fine adjustment with clamp, on tripod attachment, with additional staff mounting, tools and accessories, in the original polished pine carrying case with handle -- 13¾in. (35cm.) high
