A French ormolu grande sonnerie pendule d'officier with alarm

The case with entwined serpent handle and clustered leaf finials, silk-backed fret panel to the rear door, with Bacchic mask mounts to the sides and on four hairy paw feet, the white enamel Arabic convex dial (hairline cracks) with blued steel lozenge-pierced hands, alarm-setting hand, signed Le Roi & Fils, the twin barrel movement with vertically positioned plain three arm balance, strike work planted on the backplate, strike, pull trip repeat and pull wind alarm on two nested bells, with three position sonnerie adjustment lever to the underside
