The case with ball finials and tapering feet, with foliate engraved sides and top with recessed malachite panels, the hinged drop-down solid rear door engraved with fuchsia and roses on a lined ground, the silvered dial recessed behind a cut-away frame, engraved with flowers and scrolls on a lined ground, with conforming centre to the plain chapter ring, blued steel spade hands, the single barrel movement with vertically positioned plain three arm steel balance to the lever escapement, hand-set on the backplate signed Made by J.F. Cole for R & S. Garrard & Co. Panton St. HAYMARKET
