A GILT-METAL, WALNUT AND MAHOGANY SIPHON TUBE BAROMETER
In the style of Daniel Quare; probably by Garner & Marney; circa 1960
The case of typical form with three urn finials, the flanking two adjusting the blued steel pointers against a silvered register scale calibrated 28-31, the gilt-brass hood engraved all over with scrolling foliage and flowerheads and signed at the base Danl: Quare, the mahogany shaft terminating in a barley twist divided by brass collets and supported on a walnut pedestal and four gilt-brass folding feet applied with female masks and trailing foliage
