The movement with twin going barrels and strike/repeat on gong, the dial (haircracks) painted with an amorous couple in medieval costume kneeling on a riverbank with a castle beyond, the panel signed with the monogram LS, the Roman chapters within gilt cartouches, blued steel triangle hands, the case of typical Anglaise form, the side panels painted with three-quarter length portraits of ladies in period costume, the panels signed L. Simonnet
