The circular silvered dial within a glazed foliate cast bezel with bayonet fixing and signed Michelez Elève de Breguet A Paris with Roman chapters and blued moon hands with counterpoised sweep centre seconds, the movement with circular plates and four back-pinned pillars, countwheel strike on bell on the back-plate surmounted with the pin wheel escapement with adjustable pallets and jewelled pivots, knife-edge suspended grid-iron pendulum with silvered temperature scale to the front and engraved on the reverse Eschappement; deux trous Fouchette et suspension en saphire., the case with foliate cast and dentilled stepped pediment supported on elaborate composite-capped columns, the plinth set with a silvered beat scale engraved Michelez R.St. Honoré, No. 128, the front inset with a sensitive spirit level, the base with foliate cast moulding and on four block feet each acting as pin-set levelling knobs
