The silvered dial signed Breguet et Fils No. 4858, above the centre (at XII) the combined hours and minutes dial with Roman hour numerals and Arabic ten minute intermarkers 60-10-20 et seque, below centre (at VI) the subsidiary seconds dial, blued steel hands, twin going barrels wound separately through the bottom of the bowl, Earnshaw escapement, inverted cut bimetallic balance with peripheral screws and vertical pin above the cross-arm being part of the stop/start assembly (not now functioning) operated through the bottom of the bowl, undersprung bright polished steel helical balance spring, without terminal curves, Breguet format spring detent with steel locking pallet and adjustable blade clamped to side of banking block, brass bowl, and brass gimbal ring with chamfered top edge, two-tier plain mahogany box (with alterations), vertical screws set in sides enabling it to be secured to the chart table, external brass drop handles, Breguet double-ended tipsy key numbered 4858
