TWO MEISSEN GROUPS OF TWO PUTTI EMBLEMATIC OF WATER
Circa 1750, blue crossed swords at back
Modelled by J.J. Kändler, one putto standing and scantily draped before water weeds applied with a crustacean, another putto lying at his feet, on an oval base applied with coloured flowers and foliage, surmounted by a later German porcelain stand naturally modelled with radiating rose leaves edged in gilding (one central support broken through and repaired, broken through standing putto's right wrist and repaired, the other with extensive restoration to stand, some minor chipping to extremeties and flaking to enamels)
