A GEORGE I GILTWOOD MIRROR
The bevelled rounded rectangular plate in a concave-moulded and lappeted slip surmounted by a scrolled broken pediment with flowerheads flanking a central foliate cabochon, the sides hung with flowers and foliage above a pierced apron centred by a shell motif between scrolling acanthus and flanked by a further shell, restorations to the gilding, the cabochon cresting possibly later, previously with candle-branches
12 in. x 23½ in. (107 cm. x 59.5 cm.)
