A George III mahogany longcase clock, late 18th or early 19th century
The case with swan neck cresting to the hood and outset mock bamboo columns, the arched banded and inlaid trunk door with moulded frame and flanked by stop-fluted three quarter pilasters, above plinth with chamfered angles and raised on bracket feet, the 13in. wide white dial with oval to the arch painted with a woman reading a letter, with rose spandrels, retouched chapter ring, the centre with subsidiary seconds and date rings and signed Wm. NEWBY KENDAL (also retouched), black painted hands, pinned directly to the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement -- 95in. (241cm.) high

Lots will be available for collection following transfer to Cadogan Tate from the Friday following the sale and every week-day from 9.00am to 5.00pm.
Please note that there will be no charge to purchasers who collect their lots within one week of the sale.
On the Thursday, one week after the sale, a transfer and administration charge of £18.50 per lot will be payable and a storage charge of £3.20 per lot per day will then come into effect. These charges are payable to Cadogan Tate and are subject to VAT and an insurance surcharge.
