Three Sèvres circular biscuit portrait medallions and a French portrait medallion
Late 18th/19th century, various incised marks
The first of a general in profile to the right on a dipped grey-blue and washed bright-blue ground, indistinctly signed Bignice(?) and dated 1821, incised script M, 3¼in. (8.5cm.) diam.; another of Napoleon as Emperor to the left, the reverse incised AD, 3 1/8in. (8cm.) diam.; another of a gentleman to the left on a dipped grey-blue ground, inscribed in gilt script Den...(?) below, incised Mas (cracked and repaired below the bust), 2¾in. (7cm.) diam.; and a large medallion with CHARLES RENE PEAN SEIGNEUR DE MOSNAC after Nini, in high relief profile to the left on a dipped pale-blue ground within a raised moulded surround, signed J Nini F. 1768 beneath the shoulder, 5½in. (14cm.) diam. (4)
