ELEANOR ROOSEVELT'S READING. An interesting memento of the first lady's reading, kept at intermittant periods in her life. Five of the book's pages contain notes on books, both fiction and non-fiction, including John Erskine, Galahad and Helen of Troy, Bertrand Russell, Education: The Good Life, three works of Alec Waugh, Hot Countries, Nor Many Waters (about which she comments "interesting on divorce"), and The Last Chukka ("short stories, the last the best"). Inserted is a small clipping of a poem "Young Heart" by Marjorie Slingerland.

Exhibited: Eleanor Roosevelt Centennial Exhibition, 1984.
