the monkey baring its teeth while trying to open the firmly closed jaws of the clam, inset eyes -- 2in. (5cms) wide; an ivory netsuke of Daruma stretching and yawning -- 1¾in. (4.5cms) long, signature reverse; an ivory netsuke of a rat catcher with rat across his back and fish by his side -- 1¾in. (4.5cms) wide, signature to base; an ivory netsuke modelled as a figure on their hands and knees wearing a karashishi headress -- 1½in. (4cms) wide; and an ivory netsuke modelled a street merchant cooking -- 1½in. (4cms) high, red seal mark to base. (5)
