Amitayus shown in red holding a vase and seated in dhyanasana on a lotus surrounded by a variegated aureole supported by a peacock throne, flanked by White and Green Tara and surrouded by lotus sprays with flying and nesting birds, also with various monks in aureoles floating in clouds above, fruiting trees at the sides, eight main stupas below painted around Buddha figures and interspersed with the astamangala, with Tibetan inscriptions throughout

The eight stupas commemorate the most pivotal events in the Buddha's life. The painted eyes on the stupas indicate that it was likely made for a Nepalese patron.
