The case with a moulded plinth, on block feet, the arched panelled trunk door with glazed lenticle (lacking glass panel), the arched hood with spirally-turned columns and foliate pierced sound frets to the front and sides, surmounted by three later figural finials, the dial with Roman chapters and Arabic numerals on the brass chapter ring with half-hour markers and signed Pieter Klok/Amsterdam, the matted centre with alarm, seconds and day sector, with pierced foliate spandrels centred by a mask, with a rolling moonphase in the arch, the five ring-turned pillar movement with anchor escapement and Dutch strike on a bell, restorations
