The case with a plinth centred by a vase within an oval, with canted angles, on bracket feet, the panelled Gothic trunk door centred by a vase and flanked by fluted pilasters, the arched hood with reeded turned columns and a broken arched pediment with three later figural finials, the dial with Roman chapters and Arabic numerals on the brass chapter ring, pierced black-painted steel hands, the engraved centre with seconds and day sector and signed Standring Bolton, pierced foliate spandrels and with a rolling moonphase and tune selector in the arch, the five pillar movement with anchor escapement and a 5.5 cm long brass associated Whittington chime playing with eight hammers on eight bells above, restorations
